This little dynamo is 100% pure puppy energy. He may have 3 legs, but that doesn't slow this cutie down. He is the whole package, sweet, snuggly, and adorable. He loves to play and has almost perfected the game of fetch. His enthusiasm for toys is only rivaled by his enthusiasm for food.

Being so young he is a bit mouthy and if he can fit something in his mouth, he will so nothing on tabletops are safe. Shoes are meant to be carried throughout the house or hidden away in a crate. Cats are fun to chase and bark at so we are working at doing better about leaving them alone. Paco has the survival skills of a potato and does not care that he has to share his space with great danes and a cranky bulldog.

He is very amicable to being put in a separate room with his crate while his foster parents are at work, and sleeps curled up in their bed at night, quiet as a mouse. He has had some potty issues, but that could be a result of adjusting to a new schedule and not being able to communicate his need to go out very well. That is being worked on and improving.
He would do best in a home with kids, another dog close to his age or a person with an active lifestyle because he has energy for days.

He is crate trained, house trained, micro-chipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines.

He came into the shelter with his siblings, but he wasn't as healthy as the others because he was dragging his back legs. Though he wasn't injured, the lack of good nutrition caused his bones to weaken. Never fear though! He is doing better now and has had no issues at all...he runs around like a normal puppy with puppy energy. He is 4 months old, around 17 lbs. (and growing), has a beautiful wavy coat and is an absolute lover! He gets along great with other dogs, is a smart little boy and enjoys a good romp in the yard. Elle is a sweet, hesitant Great Pyrenees mix who is learning what it means to feel safe in the domestic world. She was originally rescued as a stray alongside her litter of puppies, and while her past may be a mystery, it’s clear that life as a beloved household pet is still very new to her.

Elle is nervous and unsure, and she needs a patient, gentle adopter who is willing to let her navigate new experiences at her own pace. She isn’t a dog who will immediately walk into a new home and know exactly what is expected of her. She’ll need kindness, consistency, gentle handling, and someone willing to help build her confidence as she learns that people, routines, and everyday household life can be safe.

Her ideal home:
• Patient, gentle and willing to give her time to adjust
• No other dogs
• No children recommended
• Cats are unknown
• A quieter, predictable home would likely suit her best

Elle would greatly benefit from formal in-home training lessons with her new family. This would not only help her continue learning how to navigate the domestic world, but also help establish trust, communication, and structure with the people she’ll be learning to call her own.

Hi, my name is Charlie. I'm a 4 year old, 48 pound beagle! I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I am solid! I was rescued from a place where I wasn't treated very good. A nice young lady contacted Project Hope to see if they would take me. Now I'm safe in my foster home and I'm ready to find my furever home where I will be treated good!

My foster mom said I'm what you call a counter surfer, but I can't help it. It smelled so good, and I am a beagle with a good smeller, but I listen when she says off! I am very good when you are eating your meal. I just lay down and sleep until you are done eating!

I get along with all dogs and cats. I would be good with children. I'm not a big barker. I like going for walks, and going for rides in the car. I do zoomies once in awhile, A fenced in yard is required since I like to follow my nose. I like being with my person and getting belly rubs and laying beside them when they watch TV. I don't like being crated, but I do settle down, but I'm good not being crated. I'm doing good on potty training. Rocky is a 8 month old, male, 45 pound male shepherd, labrador, rotweiller mix who came all the way from Texas to find his forever home!

He is a very sweet, loyal pup and is the kind of dog who will sit by your side, follow you everywhere, and become your best friend in no time. He loves people and to cuddle, he is also great with other dogs and cats. He is up to date on shots, is neutered, microchipped and crate trained!

Rocky is still young with lots of energy, he is a very quick learner and is eager to please! Hed love a home where he can play, explore, and get lots of attention. Whether its going for walks, playing outside in a fenced in yard, or just hanging out, he's happiest when he's with his people.

He is fully house broken. Rocky hasn't been around children but he would probably do good with older kids.

Hi, my name is Truffles, I'm a, 35 pound 8 month old female terrier mix.

I was found as a stray and was very skinny and was a little afraid. People were really nice to me but I needed more of a home setting so I went to a rescue. My foster mom said I'm very sweet and I love to play, then I like to cuddle with my person. I get along good with other dogs, I will need a fenced in yard to play in and another dog that likes to play would be great! I would be good with children, but I'm young so I still jump up some. I like to play too rough with cats so best to find a home without them. After I play or when I'm tired I like to sit beside my person.

Wylie is a 1 to 2 year old, 67-lb Great Pyrenees mix who has been doing wonderfully in foster care with structure, routine, and clear communication.

He has adjusted very well to a consistent daily routine and is proving to be a thoughtful, responsive young dog. Wylie has been introduced to a neutral female dog and does great with her — both dogs are polite, relaxed, and respectful of each other’s space.

He is currently working through slow, structured introductions with other foster dogs. These introductions are done gradually with obedience incorporated into every interaction, and Wylie has been very receptive and eager to learn.

Dog social skills:
• Outdoors, through fencing, Wylie is friendly and playful. He often invites interaction with play bows and happy vocalizations.
• Indoors, in neutral spaces, he remains calm, relaxed, and appropriately social, even when dogs are able to sniff through fencing.
• He responds very well to high-value rewards and positive reinforcement during these interactions.

In areas he considers more “his space” — such as his kennel area or the office — Wylie can show some context-based reactivity. This does not appear to be aggression. Instead, it’s consistent with territorial or barrier-related behavior that is likely learned over time rather than emotionally driven. This type of behavior is common and manageable with structure.

His foster mom who is a dog trainer has already begun addressing this with clear boundaries, structured obedience, and consistent commands like “leave it” and “quiet,” paired with fair corrections and strong positive reinforcement. Wylie responds quickly and learns fast.

Because of this, adopters should be aware that similar behaviors could surface during the typical three-month decompression period after adoption. With consistency, routine, and clear leadership, this behavior has proven very manageable.

Overall:
Wylie is a smart, responsive, and promising young dog who thrives with structure and clear communication. He continues to make great progress and would do best in a home committed to routine, training, and helping him continue building confidence.

Hi there! I’m Skymir — a lively, 1.5-year-old male black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never quits. I weigh about 40 pounds and carry a perfect mix of sweetness, smarts, and silliness.

My story began in a southern shelter, where I ended up all alone as a puppy. It was a scary time, but a kind-hearted rescuer saw something special in me and gave me a second chance. Now I'm thriving in Michigan (near Coldwater!) and looking for my forever family to share all of life’s adventures.

Here’s what you’ll love about me:
