Woof! Hi everyone, my name is Beckett! I’m a 3-year-old male yellow lab mix, and I weigh 52 lbs.
I was rescued by some really kind humans from a kill shelter down south. They brought me all the way to Michigan, and I absolutely love it here! The green grass and cooler weather are just perfect for me. I’ve heard there’s something called snow in the winter, and I can’t wait to see what that’s all about! Let me tell you a bit about myself to see if we could be a good match.. I can be a little shy and scared at first because I’m still getting used to being allowed inside a house. But I’m loving all the affection and regular meals—I’m a bit skinny and need to gain some weight. I love playing with my foster brother and would do great in a home with another dog or as the only dog. I’m mostly housebroken, but it’s a lot to remember after being in a shelter and crated for 22 hours a day. I’m learning, though! I need a family that will socialize me slowly and be patient with me. I love going on walks and do nicely on a leash, but the world is a big, scary place. I look around constantly while walking and get nervous around cars. I don’t chase them, but I do stop, stare, and bark. My foster mom is helping me with that. I stay in my crate while my foster mom works and have been crated for up to 8 hours. When she comes home, I miss her so much and have lots of energy. If my new home needs to crate me while they’re at work, I’ll need lots of playtime and walks in the morning and evening. Basic obedience class would be recommended. I love going on car rides and often go with my foster mom when she gets gas or checks the mailbox. Thank you for listening to my story! I hope you’ll consider meeting me to see if we’re a good match. I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations, I have been neutered and completed heart worm treatment. A physical fence and a backyard would be super cool. I’m waiting here in Canton, MI, for my perfect family. If you have any more questions about me, please email my rescue at [email protected]. interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
