Jacob is a sweet but very shy little boy who is still learning that people can be kind and safe. He hasn’t had much interaction with humans in his past, so the big world can feel overwhelming to him. Right now, Jacob is happiest in his comfort zone — and sudden changes, being leashed, or being taken out of his safe space can make him very nervous.

While he’s unsure about people, Jacob absolutely shines around other dogs. He gets along well with canine friends and enjoys their company, though he can be protective of his toys. His ideal home will have a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands that trust takes time, and who’s willing to let Jacob go at his own pace.

With the right person — someone who sees the potential behind those cautious eyes — Jacob will slowly learn that the world isn’t so scary. If you have experience with fearful dogs and a heart big enough to help Jacob blossom, he just might be your perfect match.

Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard is required. Jacob is a 1 year old, 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. Please email us at [email protected] if you have questions about him.  To apply to adopt, click HERE.

    interested in adopting?

The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application.  In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference.  Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet.  If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place.
