Hi, I'm Valentine! I'm a 3-year-old female German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix (DNA results are in my photos), weighing 52 pounds, currently being fostered in Redford, MI. I spent a month in a high-kill shelter, terrified and alone, but now I'm ready to find my forever home with a family who will love me for the kind soul that I am.
It's suspected that I'm a distemper survivor, which gives me a special quirk—some involuntary muscle movements that make it look like I'm always grooving to my favorite tune. This doesn’t negatively affect me in any way - it just makes me even more unique and cute! I have a laid-back personality with bursts of fun and silliness, and I adore being cuddled and having a dog friend to play with. I adjusted my energy to match the other dogs and cats in my foster home. I haven’t had any exposure, and I think I’d do best with older children, sometimes I get so excited to greet people that I might jump up and give a kiss! I ride well in the car, do fine on a leash, and am very food motivated, so I'd likely excel in training. A fully FENCED-IN YARD would be ideal for me to run and play. I'm full of love and shower everyone I meet—humans, dogs, and cats—with kisses. I have great manners and am completely housebroken. Occasionally, I might pick up something I shouldn’t or do a little counter surfing, but I'm quickly redirected with kind words. I'm not crate-trained, but have never needed one, being trustworthy both at night and when alone at home. I'm fully-vetted and ready to come home with you for an adoption fee of $300. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, please send an email to [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? CLICK HERE to apply to adopt me. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new adventures together!

interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
