Adoption fees

ADOPTION FEES:
(Payable by cash, credit card, or check)
*Puppies and dogs age 0-1 year - $350
*Dogs age 1-10 years - $300
*Dogs over10 years - $250

EVERY dog we offer for adoption has been altered (no exceptions). They are also up-to-date on shots, heartworm preventative, and microchipped.

All adoption fees go directly to Project Hope Animal Rescue to help pay for medical expenses, spaying/neutering, and daily care.

Rescuing a dog usually costs between $300-$1000. As you can tell, we are not into rescuing to make money; we are saving dogs' lives.

what you can expect

As we get applications for adoption we generally follow this process (although, not always in this order):
  • Receive application
  • Contact Veterinarian for Reference  (Please contact your vet and give permission to Project Hope Animal Rescue calling in for a reference check)
  • Contact Applicant
  • Have a home visit
  • Have a meet-and-greet with your whole family to meet the dog

Here is where communication can be missed....  if there is more than one applicant that is applying for a particular dog, we try to set meet and greets in the order in which the applicants seem best fit for that particular dog.

This does NOT mean that the first meet and greet will be the adopter--if it is not a good fit with that rescue dog, we move to the next on the list.  We HAVE to focus on what is best for the dog, or they are no better off than they were before rescue.  This is not always comfortable to hear, but please understand we only want what is best for the dog.  If your application is approved, we already know you will make a great adopter..it may just be with a different dog.  If you are the first meet and greet for a dog, you are NOT obligated to adopt either.
