Linus is a 2 year old, 18 pound male dachshund mix. He will be excellent with kids 4 years old and up. A 10 year old girl walked him on a leash and he was just great! Linus is a nice size dog, not too big and not too small and he is easily re-directed. He has manners, sleeps on a sofa or big chair, loves/plays with blankets, loves hugs and kisses which he gives softly, and takes snacks so softly. He doesn’t care about cats. A physical fenced-in yard is requested for his adoption as we don’t know if he will run away. His adoption fee is $300.00.

Hi. My name is Nancy Drew. I am a 9 year old, 16 pound female pug. I live with my foster mom in Michigan. I am an amateur detective just like my name’s sake. I will go into the corner to see what is there and collect all the evidence and take it to my kennel for further inspection. I like to keep all the toys safe from my foster brother and keep them close to me in my kennel. My foster mom collects all the toys and puts them in the toy box, and I wait until she is out of the room, and I remove them again, after all you can’t remove evidence. I’m looking for a family that will give me the time and space to feel safe. I hope to have a mom and/or dad that is home most of the time because I don’t like to be alone. If you are retired, I can be your constant companion but like to keep my distance. My favorite pastime is napping in my kennel where I can keep a close eye on the room. My foster mom describes me as well-behaved but is leery of new people and places. I go into my kennel without complaining but don’t need to be there as I am so well behaved.
I am house-trained and use the doggie door on my own but do need encouragement at times. No doggie door, if you take me out, I will do my business and come back in. At night my foster mom puts a potty pad down and I use it if I can’t wait until morning but don’t use it very often and if I get out first thing in the morning, I will be a good girl. A fenced yard is a must for me as I am afraid of loud noises and strange things. I don’t like leashes and will need some training on it. My foster mom thinks I will do best in a house where kids come to visit but go home. I like to sleep in my kennel with the door open in the bedroom. I need to be able to see you because I get scared by myself. I am a little timid with noises, soft and loud. My foster mom has not had me when there have been fireworks, but she thinks I will be afraid so no going to fireworks or places there are a lot of loud noises for me, I’d rather stay home where it’s safe. My foster mom said I’m a pretty quiet little girl except when it comes to mealtime. I like to tell her she is taking way too long to get it ready. I am a sweet elderly little girl eager to spend each day with you. I am always happy to see you and can't wait to see what each new day brings. When you go away, I will be there to greet you when you come home. Although I get along with other dogs, I would prefer to be the only one because I want to be the only one to get your attention. No big dogs, only one my size would be considered as I am a little scaredy cat or should I say dog. A meet and greet with any other dogs will be required because I am fearful. From the foster mom. Nancy Drew is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had. She is a little fearful and will need time to decompress and get comfortable with you. She is not a biter or nipper, just retreats to a safe place. Given time and space she will warm up to you. She stays at arm’s length, but she has made so much progress in her day to day. She is not a cuddly dog yet, but I see that coming with patience. If you can give her a safe space, I see her being a cuddly dog. She does not jump up on the furniture but wants to be within eye shot. She will follow you into rooms but again stay far enough so you don’t trip on her. some love I’ll answer to all of them. I’m about a year and a half old, 40 pound male lab mix so still a puppy. I came to Michigan on my own, no playmates came with me, but my foster brother immediately wanted to be my friend. It took me a couple days to realize he wanted to play, but since then we play all the time. I got to meet two foster cousins and play with them too. One of them doesn’t usually like other dogs, but she likes me. I am super special. I love to watch the squirrels in the trees in the back yard. I enjoy being outside as much as possible, sometimes I just don’t want to come back in yet. I still have a few accidents here and there in the house, but I found out it’s no fun to go potty in my crate. I sleep in a crate every night. At first I didn’t want to have anything to do with it, but now I know I get to sleep in peace and get a treat every night for being a good boy and going in. I am a very smart boy and if you want to take the time, I will learn all the tricks. My foster family believes I would make a great service dog, or emotional support dog. I take my treats very gently, but I do like to take my time eating it so I’ll bring it into the other room before I start eating. I haven’t quite figured out why my foster mom asks me to sit down to get the treat, but my foster brother does. At first you may want to make sure I have a private safe place to eat my meals if I’m going to have a new brother or sister. I am protective of my food when I first arrive. However, if you want some of my food you can have it. Kids are okay, but it takes me a little bit of time to warm up to them. I can be shy at times. Please don’t just reach out to touch the top of my head, let me sniff your hand and you can scratch my chin first. I love to get rub downs all over my body, but be aware, my fur likes to find a new place to lay on the floor. I like to nibble on your fingers, toes, and arms to get your attention. I don’t mean to hurt you. I love resting my head and paws on my foster moms leg when I lay on the sofa with her. It’s kind of like having a pillow. I grabbed an extra blanket for my crate the first day so I could have a pillow to sleep on. Will you be my pillow, I’ll love you forever. My adoption fee is $300.00. He gets around great, is very sweet, and really loves to sit in your lap. If you want to go for a walk, he is up for that too. Marshmallow will try to mark inside at first but if you correct him, he is good. He gets along with other dogs but unsure about cats as his foster home doesn't have cats but thinks he will be okay with them. He would be good with children that are respectful of him. A fenced in yard would be nice but not required. Marshmallow's ideal home is with someone that loves to have a fur baby to sit with them. He rides good in a car, is crate trained but doesn't like to be crated and doesn't need to be crated as he is good in the house. If you want to crate him, he will bark at first, but will settle down if you tell him to lay down. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.00. We are not sure about cats as she hasn't been around any. Older children or no children would be the best since she is shy. A fenced in area is required for her adoption. Hello, my name is Cupid, and believe me when I say, I live up to my name. I am
definitely a lover. I am a one-year old Pit Bull who is looking for that someone special to give me lots of attention. I walk with a stiff back leg because when I was just a little pup I got hit by a car. Some very nice people took me in and made sure I got the medical attention I needed to keep going. I don’t care that I am 54 pounds of muscle, I am still a lap dog. I am a fantastic foster brother; I love all the dogs and I love all the people. Since I’ve been here in Monroe, MI I’ve had two foster sisters, and two foster brothers. I loved playing with them all. My sisters have found new homes, and one brother too. But I still have a brother I get to play with every day. I even met a foster cousin who is the same kind of dog as I am, only smaller, and we play like we’ve known each other all our lives. I don’t like it when the other dogs try to eat my food, my foster mom lets me eat in my kennel so the other dogs can’t get to it. My foster mom seemed to want some of my food too, so I let her take it out of my bowl. I’m a little more willing to share my treats with them. I sit very nicely to get my treats when I’ve been a good boy. I let my foster mom know when I need to go outside by walking to the back door and looking at her or putting my head on her lap. Sometimes I even bop the button that says Outside next to the back door, but I don’t always remember to do that. I don’t have accidents in my crate during the night or when I’ve had to be locked up when she leaves. My foster mom has cats upstairs and one day I got passed the gate to see what she was doing, and the cats didn’t like me, but I just wanted to see what my foster mom does upstairs when she goes up there. I like all my toys, as well as all the toys for the other dogs. I can be very possessive of them, but after a while I give in and share. I’m looking for the perfect person to love me like I will love them. I will be by your side trying to help if you don’t feel good. I enjoy going for walks, I don’t pull on the leash. love getting in the car to go places, even if we are just going for a drive. Sebring was in the medical ward of a Texas shelter with an injured leg and eventually had to have FHO surgery, but she is healed up and is now ready for her forever home!
Sebring is very sweet but shy so she needs time to get to know you. Once she knows you aren't going to hurt her, she will start to trust you. Sebring gets along with other dogs and loves to play, but we aren't sure how she is with cats. Since she is shy older kids would be the best if any. Sebring can climb a 5ft fence so a privacy fence or a invisible fence is required. She also likes to lay outside in the fresh air! Sebring will need someone willing to give her time to get to know them and after she gets to know you she is very loving and listens very well! Sebring rides great in the car and is both crate and house trained. She is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines and heartworm meds. Her adoption fee is $300.00. If you have any questions about Sebring not covered in this bio, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. To apply to adopt, click HERE.
One and ½ Year Old Looking for her Forever Family! Tralee – 60 Pounds of Awesome!
Looking for a walking partner, a sweet, loving snuggle partner to sleep near you at night, a kind, funny companion, then I am your girl! Have other dogs in your home? Not a problem! I love my foster dog brother and sisters. I spend time in my crate while my foster parents are at work but I look forward to spending time with them when they arrive home from work to take me for a walk (Which not to brag, but my foster Dad says I am really good on a leash). I am smart, a good listener, and love my treats. Interested in meeting me? Please contact Project Hope Animal Rescue at projecthoperescue@gmail.com or to apply to adopt, click HERE. Skymir came into a Texas shelter with a badly injured ear. We aren't sure how it happened, but it's all healed up now. He is an 11 month old, 40 lb lab mix pup, maybe a little hound in there? He is small, so he may not get as big as labs usually do. He loves to wiggle his butt and play with his foster siblings, but his favorite pastime is chewing on a good hard bone. He is very food motivated, so it's easy to get him focused for training. Until he learns to stop jumping, older kids are probably best. Skymir is a little shy when you first meet him, but comes around pretty quickly. He likes to cuddle up on cold days in his crate and lay in the sun on warmer days. Because he is a puppy, he would do best in a home with another dog or an active family. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. A physical fenced yard is required with his adoption. His adoption fee is $350.00. If you have questions about Skymir not covered in this bio, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. To apply to adopt, visit our website at [http://www.projecthoperescue.org and fill out an adoption application. click HERE.
Although we're not sure on Walters past we know he has a great future. Walter found himself in a Texas shelter in pretty rough shape but he just needed some love to bring out this handsome fella. After arriving north and a trip to the vet we discovered Walter is diabetic. He currently receives insulin shots twice a day and gets special food to control his diabetes. He is estimated to be around 10 years old. Walter is fixed, utd on shots, and currently on flea, tick, and worms preventative. Walter would prefer to be with a super chill fur sibling. It is not recommended that he goes to a home with small children as he is still learning to trust humans again. He likes to be pet and purrs loudly but sudden movements scare him. His adoption fee is $75.00. If you have questions not answered in this bio, email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. If you think Walter would be the perfect addition to your life, click HERE.
April is a 7 month old 29 pound Terrier mix. April was found as a stray in Alabama where she was treated for rickets. Treatment included good food, vitamins and they splints on her legs to straighten them. They are still a little deformed but it doesn't slow her down or bother her!
April didn't have a very good start in her life but holds no grudges. She will definitely steal your heart. She is a little bashful at first but she is so loving and will follow you around the yard. April gets along great with other dogs. She hasn't been around cats that we know of, but since she is a puppy, she would probably be ok with them. She would be good with children that are respectful to her. April likes to play with toys and with other dogs. A home with a physical fenced yard is highly preferred. She is crate trained and is dong well with potty training. April is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $350.00. If you have any questions about April not answered in this bio, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. To apply to adopt, click HERE. Liberty is a 3 year old, 19 pound terrier mix. Liberty was found on the side of the road in Texas and couldn't use her back legs. She has had surgery on both rear legs legs to see if that would improve her mobility. Unfortunately, neither surgery proved successful, so it was decided to amputate her left leg in hopes that it would cause her to use her right leg more. Currently, she will use her back right leg at times but when she gets excited and runs she will drag it. She is on a good joint supplement in hopes it will help her build strength in her leg. Liberty gets along with other dogs but we aren't sure how she is around cats. She would be okay with children that are respectful to her. A home with a physical fenced yard would be ideal for her. Liberty can go up steps to sit on the couch as she likes to sit with her person! She is house & crate trained, micro-chipped, spayed and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300.00. If you have questions about Liberty not covered in this bio, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. To apply to adopt, click HERE.

interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
