Meet Nick!
Nick is a handsome 73 lb, 3-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever with a heart as big as his smile. He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. He enjoys walks, playing with his canine friends, and hanging out with his family, but he's just as happy relaxing by your side. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Nick is your guy! He's a true Velcro dog who loves being with his people and will happily follow you wherever you go. Nick is doing wonderfully with the dogs and children in his current foster home. Because he experiences some separation anxiety, he would do best in a home with another dog to keep him company. A fenced in backyard is required too. Nick is not crate trained and does not enjoy being confined. He has done well being left out in the house and has not been destructive when left alone. Nick is still working on his basic manners and would benefit from continued training. Car rides are another area where Nick needs a little help—he gets anxious and tends to bark during the drive. Nick at a Glance * 3-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever * Neutered & Up-to-date on vaccinations * Excellent with other dogs and with children If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will always be by your side, Nick is ready to become your newest family member! He is neutered, microchipped, housebroken, up to date on vaccines and his adoption fee is $300.00. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, email us at [email protected]. I was found as a stray and was very skinny and was a little afraid. People were really nice to me but I needed more of a home setting so I went to a rescue. My foster mom said I'm very sweet and I love to play, then I like to cuddle with my person. I get along good with other dogs, I will need a fenced in yard to play in and another dog that likes to play would be great! I would be good with children, but I'm young so I still jump up some. I like to play too rough with cats so best to find a home without them. After I play or when I'm tired I like to sit beside my person. I walk good on a leash and I like going for walks. I'm spayed, microchipped, crate trained and potty trained and my adoption fee is $350.00. To apply to adopt, click HERE. Meet Jojo, a 2 year old, 30 pound beagle. Jojo was in a shelter in Virginia and wasn't getting any interest so he came into our rescue to look for his forever home.
Jojo is very loving. He loves to get petted and doesn't want you to stop. He loves to run around outside and smell all the smells, and he does get the zoomies inside. He gets along with other dogs and he isn't aggressive with cats but wants to chase them so it's best no cats. He is good with children and loves car rides. Jojo likes to play with toys so a physical fence is required for this adoption as he will follow his nose. He is neutered, microchipped, housebroken, up to date on vaccines and his adoption fee is $300.00. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, email us at [email protected] or to fill out an app to apply for adoption, click HERE. Jacob is a sweet but very shy little boy who is still learning that people can be kind and safe. He hasn’t had much interaction with humans in his past, so the big world can feel overwhelming to him. Right now, Jacob is happiest in his comfort zone — and sudden changes, being leashed, or being taken out of his safe space can make him very nervous.
While he’s unsure about people, Jacob absolutely shines around other dogs. He gets along well with canine friends and enjoys their company, though he can be protective of his toys. His ideal home will have a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands that trust takes time, and who’s willing to let Jacob go at his own pace. With the right person — someone who sees the potential behind those cautious eyes — Jacob will slowly learn that the world isn’t so scary. If you have experience with fearful dogs and a heart big enough to help Jacob blossom, he just might be your perfect match. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard is required. Jacob is a 1 year old, 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. Please email us at [email protected] if you have questions about him. To apply to adopt, click HERE. Hello my name is Wink. At just 8 months old, I’m a big, handsome 70 pound pup with an even bigger heart, searching for a forever home to call my own. My journey hasn’t been easy—I was surrendered to a crowded, high-risk shelter in San Antonio, Texas, for reasons I’ll never understand. The noise, the stress, the uncertainty… it was overwhelming. My time there was running out, and I needed someone to see me—to believe I was worth saving.
Every day, I did my best to shine. I kept my kennel clean, wagged my tail nonstop, and greeted everyone with gentle affection, hoping they’d choose me. But no one did. Maybe it was my size, or my age, or my right eye. I have a condition called microphthalmia, which means my right eye is smaller and doesn’t see well—but it doesn’t slow me down or cause me pain, and the vet says it doesn’t need to be removed. The shelter called me Skunk, but my foster dad saw something different—he named me Wink, and it fits me perfectly. Just hours before I was set to be euthanized due to overcrowding, Project Hope Animal Rescue stepped in and saved my life. From there, I began a 1,200+ mile journey north, carried by kind-hearted volunteers who gave me a second chance. Now, I’m ready to start my next chapter. I’m a sweet, affectionate boy with the perfect balance of playful puppy energy and gentle companionship. I adore people and have a special way of leaning into you for pets—it’s like a full-body hug. I may be big, but I’m all soft on the inside and thrive on love, attention, and being part of the family. I’m still young and eager to learn. I’m very treat-motivated and want to make my people happy, which makes training fun and rewarding. I’ve already learned how to shake and I’m getting the hang of “sit.” I walk well on a leash and am excited to keep learning with someone who will guide me with patience and positivity. I’d do best in an active home where I have room to run, play, and grow—a fenced yard would be required. More than anything, I just want to be included in everyday life, whether that’s going on adventures, playing outside, or relaxing close to my favorite people. The basics: • Fully vetted • Potty trained • Dog & cat friendly • Working on crate training All I need now is someone willing to take a chance on me—and in return, I’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and companionship. Wink is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered & microchipped His adoption fee is $300. If you have any questions or concerns about Wink, please email us at [email protected]. interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
