Hi! My name is Gisela. I am a 5 year old, 9 pound chihuahua mix. I was in a high kill shelter in Texas, but now I am in Michigan and looking for my forever home. I would love a home where I can be with my person as I love to sit in with my person and snuggle! I can be a little bossy to other dogs but I take correction good and am fine with them. I don't know on cats as I haven't been around any. I am protective of my home and will alert you of someone at the door. I do bark at noises. I like to sleep in bed with you under the cover and since I am small I would do better without young children.. A fenced in yard would be nice, but if no fence I can walk on a leash. I am housebroken, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. I'm crate trained but I do fine not being crated. My adoption fee is $300.00.
If you are looking for a small snuggle buddy I'm your girl. If you have any questions about me not answered in this bio, email us at [email protected] or to fill out an app to apply for adoption, click HERE.

Jimmy B (John Hardy) is an approximate 22 lb, 8 month old hound mix. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. He is currently on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. He has a lot of energy and loves to go on walks and on car rides. He would do best with an active family who has time to keep him busy. He is crate trained. He is a little fearful of new things at first, but he is not aggressive and warms up quickly. He loves to snuggle on the couch while watching a movie with his people. He gets along great with other dogs and cats.
Jimmy B's (John Hardy) adoption fee is $350 If you have questions about me not covered in this bio, please email us at [email protected]. To apply to adopt, click HERE. My name is Alfie and I’m looking for a family that will love me as much as I will automatically love them. I am a 30lb terrier/beagle mix. At about 2 yrs old, I am completely housebroken, I easily spend the day in my crate while my foster parents work, and I’ve nailed down some basic commands. My favorite place to be is cuddling with my fosters on the couch.
I am living in Battle Creek, MI and I love my foster dog siblings and my 10 yr old foster human sister. I’m always so excited to play with them, but I do listen to their cues and give them some space when they ask. I enjoy walks but my favorite outdoor activity is exploring, so I need a fenced-in yard. I love riding in the car especially if we are going to the dog park or the pet store. My dream forever family will appreciate and participate with my active side but also willing to snuggle on the couch, and ready to accept all my love. I am fixed, up to date on shots and microchipped. My adoption fee is $300. If you have questions about me not covered in this bio, please email us at [email protected]. To apply to adopt, click HERE. Meet Sparrow! He came into a shelter in January and he was a volunteer favorite. He loved playing with stuffed animals and would beg to take them back to his kennel. He was also extremely scared in the facility and would pancake on the floor when it was time to go back to the kennel. His eye was badly injured when he arrived to the shelter. He has since had surgery to remove that eye. Now that he is no longer in pain he is doing great.
Sparrow has been able to finally decompress in a home environment. He is extremely attached to his stuffed animals and expresses his love by carrying them around the house, outside, burying them in the yard and tearing some apart! He is NOT food motivated – more stuffy motivated than anything else. High value treats are helpful. Stuffies are great for re-direction. He Is crate shy – he does fine once he’s in his crate, however, convincing him to get in the crate takes lots of HIGH VALUE treats and positive encouragement. He tends to whine for a bit when he’s first put in the crate but will settle down quickly. It is highly recommended that his home has a crate for him and use it at night until he’s comfortable and when his family is away. He does like to grab and destroy items that he sees as toys (blankets, towels, dog clothes, scarfs, etc.) Sparrow is a strong, high-energy dog. He would be great on an agility course or as a running partner. He is all muscle. This also means that he’s a very strong leash puller and a skilled jumper. He loves to run and play. He fetches and follows some basic commands. He knows “sit” (for treats) and has started to respond to “leave it” and “stay” . He’s not a fan of “off” and tends to put his paws up on counters or people. We’ve been working on that, but he will need some strong encouragement." Sparrow is around 3 years old and 66 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. If you would like more information about Sparrow, please email us at [email protected]. I’m a big boy – about 75 pounds – and am a bit of a mix as far as my relatives go. We think I’m between 2 and 3 years old. I love long walks, playing fetch (ball, stick or frisbee, I’m not particular) and, of course, TREATS! I’m neutered, microchipped and up-to-date with all my vaccinations. I’m also crate trained and sleep in there very peacefully.
My foster parents are teaching me good leash skills and are also perfecting my housetraining and my understanding of commands. They say I’m sweet, super-smart and am especially gifted at snuggling. My most favorite place to be is in your lap! I’m up for a good belly scratch any time and most days are not complete without a short zoomie session before bed. A fenced in yard or a multi-acre plot would be my ideal home situation because I’m still a young boy with lots of energy to spare. I absolutely love to run around and chase birds! I’m actually fascinated by all types of wildlife, including squirrels and deer, and can often be found staring out my foster parents’ back window keeping notes on all the duck, swan and goose traffic on their pond. I get along well with humans but am still getting used to my own size so I would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. I definitely like other dogs and am always up for a playdate but am still a little unsure about cats. Lance's adoption fee is $300.00. Hi there, my name is Wiggles, and I am a wiggly little girl. I am 1 year old and 30 pounds, terrier mix . I was in a shelter but needed more one on one as I am very shy and need time to get to know you! I love to run and play and I do get the zoomies outside. I love playing with toys, too. I get along with all dogs big or small, don't know about cats as I haven't been around any, but I think after I meet them I would be okay. Since I am shy the children should be older. I will require a fenced in yard and another dog in the home to help with my confidence. A quiet home is the best. I'm doing good in my foster home and have gained some confidence, but still need to gain more confidence. I am a very sweet and loving little girl!!
I need a family that will give me time to adjust to them. I am doing very good on my potty training. I am crate trained, micro-chipped, spayed and up to date on my vaccines. My adoption fee is $300.00. If you want to know anything more about me not answered in his bio, email us at [email protected] or if you are that special family and want to apply to adopt me, click HERE. Hey there, I'm Skymir, your lively 1.5 year-old male black lab mix, weighing in at a solid 49 pounds. My tail never stops wagging, and my heart is as big as they come. I found myself alone in a southern shelter when I was just a puppy. I was so scared, but thankfully a kind rescuer scooped in to save me. Now I’m here in Michigan (being fostered near Coldwater) looking for my forever family!
I live for those moments of butt wiggles and playful romps with my foster siblings. Chewing on a good, hard bone? It's my idea of heaven. My playful spirit shines through in everything I do, from chasing squirrels to snuggling up after a long day. I'm a quick learner, especially when treats are involved! Training sessions are my jam, and I'm always eager to please. Sometimes I get a bit too excited and might jump up, but with a little patience and guidance, I'll get the hang of it. At first, I might be a bit reserved, but give me some time, and I'll warm up to you in no time. Crisp mornings call for cuddles in my cozy crate, while sunny afternoons are perfect for basking in the warmth of the sun. I would thrive in a home with a FENCED-IN YARD where I can run and explore to my heart's content. Whether I'm playing with another dog or keeping an active family on their toes, I'm happiest when I have company. I’m fully-vetted l, housebroken, crate-trained and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Shoot an email to [email protected]. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out an application by clicking HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! One year old Jacob found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home. He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first, but comes right out of his shell after a bit. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard is required. Jacob is 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. Please email us at [email protected] if you have questions about him. Ready to apply for him, click HERE.
Hi friends, I'm Blake, a big hunk of puppy love with an even bigger heart! At 1 year old and 52 lbs, I'm still growing into my paws and discovering the joys of the world. I’m most likely a Spaniel/Pointer mix and I think I’m going to be a bigger boy. I'm super friendly and submissive to other dog pals, and I dream of finding a forever home with a furry companion to share my adventures with. I love giving my canine friends kisses and doing laps together around the yard. My forever home will definitely need a fully FENCED-IN yard and a doggie best friend for me.
I’m being fostered near Coldwater, Michigan. Life has been a whirlwind of new experiences since I arrived here, and I'm still getting used to being inside a home. But hey, I've already nailed crate and house training, so I'm a quick learner! While I'm still figuring out this whole leash thing, I'm making progress one paw at a time. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, I know I'll get there. I haven’t had any exposure to cats yet, and I think I’d do well with children over 6 years old. I’m fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $300.00. Are you the family I've been waiting for? If you have questions about me, please email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? My foster family gave me that name because they say I remind them of the dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was found wandering the streets of Louisiana and found myself scared and alone at a high-kill shelter. Luckily, Project Hope rescued me. I’ve made my way north and now I’m ready to find my forever family!
I’m about 2 years old, weigh 45 pounds, and have short, fluffy black fur with some bronze mixed in. People say my deep brown eyes are pretty hard to resist. I’m probably a mix of a bully breed, Shar-Pei and Lab, but all I know is I’m 100% lovable and loyal. I live with my foster family in Saginaw, Michigan, and boy, is it a full house! There’s my foster mom, five human kids, two dog siblings (one’s a Great Dane, so she’s huge!), a cat and even a rabbit. I get along great with the other dogs, and I’m trying really hard to get used to the cat and the rabbit too. I also love every human I meet—big, small, young, old—I’m friends with everyone! When I’m not running zoomies in the backyard with the other dogs, I’m working on my training. I’ve already mastered “sit,” “here,” and “down,” and I’m learning more commands like “leave it” and “off.” My foster mom says I’m a quick learner, and with a little time and patience, I can do just about anything. Also, I’ll need a fully FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content! I love chewing on toys, especially horns, antlers, and stuffies, and I take treats gently. I sleep all night in my bed in my foster mom’s room without any accidents. I’m not a fan of getting on the furniture—no couches or human beds for me, thanks! I just like to be near you, whether it’s at your feet or next to your chair. I’m working on crate training, too. It’s not my favorite, but I’m getting better since I know my foster mom always comes back for me. Car rides make me a little nervous, but I’m improving there as well—I prefer hanging out in the back seat. I’m a sweet, goofy and devoted pup who just wants to follow my people from room to room and be with them always. Could you be the one I’ve been waiting for? My adoption fee is $300, and I’m fully-vetted and microchipped. Questions about me? Email [email protected]. If you think we’re a perfect match, fill out an adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! |
interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
