Hi there, I'm Nick Furry, the resilient 3-year-old, 13lb Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold. I was most likely hit by a car and I was in desperate need of medical treatment when I was saved from the shelter. I had one injured eye removed and an injured leg that required surgery. I’m still building back muscle in my leg so I hold it up sometimes, but nothing slows Nick Furry down! I’m just as happy and playful as any dog you’ve ever met. I’m now on a search for my forever family from my foster home in Coldwater, Michigan.
I absolutely LOVE playing with other dogs, but I am not a big fan of cats. I also love people - curling up in your lap or in your bed for a cuddle is my favorite thing! And I’m all about those belly rubs and my toys! I would do well with respectful children. I prefer a fully fenced-in yard, but it isn’t a dealbreaker as long as you take me on lots of walks! I’m housebroken and crate-trained, though I don’t need to be crated, I can be trusted to be left out. I’m fully-vetted and ready to come home with you for an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to start making memories together? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you!

Hi kind humans! Bayou here, the 1-year-old, 37lb male Pittie mix looking for a family to belong to! I was found as a stray and brought to a southern kill shelter with a severely injured leg and my odds weren’t good. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saved me, I had that leg amputated and now I’m a “tripawd”. But I don’t let that slow me down one bit! Now I’m up here in Byron Center, Michigan with my sites set on finding my forever home.
The first thing you should know about me is that I’m the HAPPIEST pupper you’ll ever meet. I get along with all other dogs, big and small, none can resist my big smile and happy-go-lucky (and very submissive) nature. I love my friends so much, I’ll even share my food bowl! My favorite thing to do is play fetch - and I’m really good at it, 3 legs and all. I’ll definitely need a FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I love kids! I haven’t had the opportunity to make any feline friends yet, but my gentle nature suggests that we would get along just fine. If you’re looking for a dog that you can take everywhere - PICK ME! I’m very popular on the pet store circuit and if you take me to a dog-friendly restaurant, I will behave like a perfect gentleman, I’ve got my manners down pat. Visiting family? No problem, I make new friends wherever I go and I even ride well in the car! I’m also very smart - I learned ‘sit’ in about 30 seconds and I’m eager to be taught more commands. The secret is TREATS!! I am a very food and treat motivated learner. So what do you say? This bundle of joy is housebroken, crate-trained, fully-vetted and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions about me? Please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to start making memories together? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi friends! I’m Millie, the charming 1-year-old, 42lb female yellow Lab mix overflowing with love and affection. I am a very lucky girl, just a couple hours before I was scheduled to be euthanized, a kind rescuer came in for another dog and the shelter staff begged her to save me, too! Now I’m up here in Albion, Michigan on a quest to meet my furever family.
I don’t want to brag, but I seem to be everyone’s favorite dog wherever I go - our partner rescue, the vet, you name it! I have a very sweet and gentle nature and I’m a big cuddler. Because I’m still building my confidence, I thrive in the company of other dogs and I would absolutely LOVE a canine sibling to play with. I am the absolute definition of submissive - I can really get along with any dog. Cats? I pretty much ignore them. Kids? They’re the BEST! I am obsessed with my ball and frisbee - they make me VERY happy!!! I get sooooo excited when you get them out that I don’t know what to do with myself. For this reason, I will require a fully FENCED-IN YARD. Guess what? I am already housebroken and I know basic commands! While I am crate-trained, I’m not a big fan, but I promise if you leave me out, I will not get into anything, I’ll just wait patiently for you to return. I’m fully-vetted, microchipped and ready to join your family! My adoption fee is $300, and I promise I’m worth every penny. Questions about me? Email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. My name is Lizzeth and I am a 6-month-old female German Shepard [mix?] weighing in at 20lbs. I came into the shelter as a lone stray at just a few months old and, boy, was I scared! But a kind rescuer saved me and now I’m up here in Coldwater, Michigan on the hunt for my furever home!
Typical of my breed, I am extremely smart and I’m great at taking cues from my person. When I first meet other dogs and people, I can be a little shy, so slow introductions would be best. I am very submissive with other canines and I like to follow them everywhere and learn new things. But once I get really comfortable, watch out, it’s time to PLAY. Then at some point, I’ll decide that all of my friends (stuffies) need to be piled up with me in my kennel. It’s so cute! I am crate-trained and working hard on my potty training - I’m a really smart girl, so I’m catching on pretty fast! I haven’t had any exposure to cats yet and I might meet them with curiosity, but my gentle nature suggests that we would get along just fine. As for kids, I still have those sharp little puppy nails and a penchant for grabbing your legs, so older, respectful children would be the best fit fit me. I will require a PHYSICAL FULLY-FENCED YARD to ensure I have all the space I need to run and play. I'm all set to join my new family – fully-vetted, microchipped and ready to spread love wherever I go. My adoption fee is $350. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to take the plunge and make me a part of your family! Click HERE to apply! I can't wait to meet you and start our paw-some adventures together! Hi everyone, I'm Poppy, the 4-year-old, 35lb female Australian Kelpie & Chihuahua mix looking for my furever family! My life has not been easy - I went from a hoarder home to a situation where I was tied to a tree 24/7 before I was rescued. Although I was starved for love and attention most of my life, I actually could not be any sweeter. Now I’m here in Michigan (being fostered in Albion) hoping you will take me home with you!
I’m a real sweetheart, a lover of all people and do well with adults and kids alike. I really enjoy walks and I recently went on a 2 mile run and loved it! My foster mom said I did a great job and didn’t pull even once. I have a lot of love to give have a sweet and silly personality. I am doing really well leaving my foster mom’s cats alone, but if they decide one day that they’d like to play, I’d love that, too! I get along GREAT with other dogs, but I do have a little quirk: because I was not always fed regularly, I need to be fed separately from my furry pals. But my foster Mom has been working on this with me and I’m starting to feel a lot more comfortable. Apart from that, I'm pretty much perfect! I’m already housebroken, crate-trained, fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $300. If you have any questions or want to learn more about me, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out an adoption application by clicking HERE. Let’s start making memories together! Hey there, humans! I’m Nohemi, the sweet and loving 3-month-old, female mixed breed (possibly a Miniature Pinscher mix) weighing in at a whopping 12lbs! My journey started off a bit ruff – I was found by myself as a stray when I was only 8 weeks old and ended up in a southern kill shelter, but thanks to some kind people, I've been given a second chance at happiness here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. And hey, if you're in Michigan, no worries – my foster Mom is willing to meet you in Coldwater!
Now, I am mostly blind in one eye due to an ulcer I had when I came into the shelter, but let me tell you, it doesn't slow me down one bit and I have no trouble navigating my surroundings. I zip around like the wind and tackle every adventure with gusto. I even walk great on a leash already! Sure, loud cars make me a tad nervous, but with a loving family by my side, I know I'll feel safe and secure. The only time I bark is when I am ready to go out and play. Speaking of which, I will require a FULLY FENCED YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I absolutely adore hanging out with other dogs – big, small, you name it! My foster siblings include Rotties, Pitties, a Terrier and a Chihuahua! I get along with all of them like peanut butter and jelly. I haven’t had the pleasure of making any feline friends yet, but my gentle nature suggests that we would get along just fine. And I love to give kisses to all the kids I meet. But watch out, I do still have those sharp little puppy teeth. I'm already a pro at sleeping through the night in my cozy crate (I never make a mess in it either!) and I’m starting to get the hang of potty training – I do need to go out about 5 minutes after I eat. And boy, am I a foodie! Show me a tasty treat, and I'll happily sit and give you my best puppy dog eyes. But, alas, I do like to jump when I get really excited. But who can blame me, I am still a puppy and new things are exciting! I'm all set to join my new family – fully-vetted, microchipped and ready to spread love wherever I go. My adoption fee is $350. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to take the plunge and make me a part of your pack? Click HERE to apply! I can't wait to meet you and start our paw-some adventures together. Let's make some memories – furever! Hey there! I'm Daniel, the happy-go-lucky 9-month-old, 55-pound male black Lab & German Shepherd mix eagerly looking for my forever family! At only 4 months old, I ended up in a southern kill shelter with a broken leg, but now I’m all healed up and ready for my forever home! I don’t want to brag, but I’ve been told that I would make a GREAT therapy dog!
Some important things about me - I’m good on a leash, LOVE going for car rides, and get along with everyone I meet. People say that I'm really smart and that I learn really fast. The secret to me learning new things is TREATS!! I love treats! Since I'm still a kind of young, I do need someone who wants to teach me how to be the very best dog I can be, make sure I get lots of exercise, and challenge my super smart brain! And, when it comes to chillin' out...I’m a great snuggler and love to settle down for a good nap. Give me a nice cozy dog bed and I'm set for the night! As you can see, I'm a handsome fellow who loves kids and other dogs. I haven’t been exposed to cats yet, so I might meet them with curiosity, but I think we’d be ok. Since I am still a youngster, I have a lot of energy, so need a family who will take me on walks or runs, play fetch and tug of war, or best of all....maybe have another playful dog in the family that I can play with! I will definitely need a home with a FENCED-IN yard. I love playing with other fun dogs and sturdy kids! (I'm trying hard to learn not to jump on people for attention). I’m housebroken, crate-trained (though it’s not my favorite place to be), fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $350. I am currently being fostered in South Bend, Indiana, (46614) but if you're in Michigan, don’t worry, we can make it happen. So, what do you say? Are you looking for a tall, dark, handsome, smart, fun, sweet and energetic guy to join your family? If you have any questions, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to welcome me into your home? Fill out an application by clicking HERE. I would love to meet you! Hi kind humans! I'm Ruby, the bubbly 1-year-old, 50 pound female German Shepard mix bursting with love and excitement. You know, I absolutely adore snuggling up with my humans and getting lots of pets and cuddles. It's the best feeling in the world! But don't let that fool you, I also know how to be a good girl and sit quietly when I'm told. I was pulled from a shelter in Texas and now I’ve made my way to Michigan to find my fur-ever family!
Car rides? Oh, I'm all about them! I'm super chill in the car and love feeling the wind on my face. And walks? Well, they're basically the highlight of my day. When I see my harness, I can hardly contain my excitement! Sometimes I get so worked up that I just plop right over, but hey, that's part of the fun, right? I love every dog I meet along the way. I may get a little too eager when I spot squirrels or other critters, but I promise I won't pull on the leash because being by your side is where I want to be. My foster Mom has been taking me to school with her and she said I’m a perfect angel! I sit quietly during the loud band practice, and afterward I love it when the kids bombard me with so many pets, it’s more than I could have even dreamed of when I was in the shelter! All in all, I'm just a sweet, loving pup who can't wait to find my forever home. I have so much love to give, and I know I'll bring so much joy and happiness to whoever decides to make me a part of their family. Could it be you? I’m completely housebroken, crate-trained, fixed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped and my adoption fee is $300. If you have any questions or want to learn more about me, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to welcome me into your home? Fill out an application by clicking HERE. I can't wait to meet you! Hey there, I'm Aubrey, the stunning 30-pound, 1-year-old female Plott Hound mix with a heart as beautiful as I am! I had a tough beginning, I was surrendered to an overcrowded kill shelter in Texas when I was just 4 months old because my owner had too many dogs. I was very, very scared, but thankfully Project Hope saw the pleading in my eyes and they saved me!
I’m going to be honest with you here - I am a total sweetheart once I warm up to you, but I am just terrible at meet and greets! I don’t know what happens, I just get so nervous that I start acting all shy, and a lot of my amazing personality just flies right out the window. I really need an understanding family that knows it might take a few days for the true me to shine through. Then I’ll be on you like white on rice, I want nothing more than to be with my person. I love other doggos, but I haven’t had the pleasure of making any feline friends yet. I would probably do best in an adults-only household. I'm a spunky girl who loves nothing more than running and playing, so I'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs. But hey, even if you don't have a yard, as long as we can go for walks and play together, I'll be one happy pup! After all that fun, I'm all about snuggling up with my favorite person for a nap. I'm potty and crate-trained, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines, so I'm ready to bring love and laughter to my forever home. My adoption fee is $300, and if you have any questions, just shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make my dreams of a furever home come true? My journey started on the streets of Texas, where I was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter. I was saved just in time and now I’m here, being fostered in Byron Center, Michigan, hoping to find a family to call my own. You really need to see me in person to appreciate what a beautiful dog I am!
I’m a bundle of joy just waiting to bring warmth and companionship to your life. I absolutely love to play, especially when I’m frolicking around with other doggy pals. I’ll definitely need a FULLY FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I’m also longing for a fur-sibling to share all my adventures with. I’ve got all the skills for family life down pat. From crate-training to housebreaking, I’m all set and ready to go. And let me tell you, I’m a quick learner! I can’t wait to meet you! Hey there, I'm Skymir, the one-year-old, 40-pound lab mix pup with a heart of gold. I'm all about those butt wiggles, playtime with my foster siblings and sinking my teeth into a good hard bone. My playful and joyful nature shines through in everything I do.
I'm super food-motivated and eager to learn, especially during training sessions. I'm a delightful companion, although I may need a bit of guidance when it comes to jumping, so older kids are probably the best match for me right now. At first, I might be a bit shy, but don't worry—I warm up quickly and love nothing more than cuddling in my crate on cold days or soaking up the sun on warmer ones. Having a PHYSICAL FENCED YARD is a must for me, so I have plenty of space to play and explore. I'd thrive in the company of another dog or with an active family. Sometimes I guard my toys from other dogs, but otherwise we get along famously. Plus, I'm already neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped, so I'm all set to bring my infectious energy to a loving home. If you think I’m the one for you, my adoption fee is $300. interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
