Meet Tawny! She is an 8 month old, 39 lbs Anatolian Shepherd mix. She's definitely small for the breed and, unless she has a growth spurt, may not get much bigger. She gets along with everyone...dogs, cats and kids. While being extremely playful with other dogs, she is more on the submissive side. She is still learning not to jump up, so older kids preferred. Typical of the breed, she is very smart and catches on quickly. Tawny is also very food motivated, so she's easy to train. Tawny is house-trained, crate-trained and will sit on command. Her favorite pastimes are playing with her canine foster brothers and chewing on a good Nylabone. A physical fenced yard is highly recommended but not required. She would do best in a home with a canine or feline playmate (or both) or an active family.
Tawny is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350.00. If you have questions about Tawny not answered here, please email us at [email protected]. To apply to adopt, click HERE.

Woof! Hi everyone, my name is Beckett! I’m a 3-year-old male yellow lab mix, and I weigh 52 lbs.
I was rescued by some really kind humans from a kill shelter down south. They brought me all the way to Michigan, and I absolutely love it here! The green grass and cooler weather are just perfect for me. I’ve heard there’s something called snow in the winter, and I can’t wait to see what that’s all about! Let me tell you a bit about myself to see if we could be a good match.. I can be a little shy and scared at first because I’m still getting used to being allowed inside a house. But I’m loving all the affection and regular meals—I’m a bit skinny and need to gain some weight. I love playing with my foster brother and would do great in a home with another dog or as the only dog. I’m mostly housebroken, but it’s a lot to remember after being in a shelter and crated for 22 hours a day. I’m learning, though! I need a family that will socialize me slowly and be patient with me. I love going on walks and do nicely on a leash, but the world is a big, scary place. I look around constantly while walking and get nervous around cars. I don’t chase them, but I do stop, stare, and bark. My foster mom is helping me with that. I stay in my crate while my foster mom works and have been crated for up to 8 hours. When she comes home, I miss her so much and have lots of energy. If my new home needs to crate me while they’re at work, I’ll need lots of playtime and walks in the morning and evening. Basic obedience class would be recommended. I love going on car rides and often go with my foster mom when she gets gas or checks the mailbox. Thank you for listening to my story! I hope you’ll consider meeting me to see if we’re a good match. I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations, I have been neutered and completed heart worm treatment. A physical fence and a backyard would be super cool. I’m waiting here in Canton, MI, for my perfect family. If you have any more questions about me, please email my rescue at [email protected]. Woof! I'm a 5-and-a-half-month-old ball of snuggles! My shelter pals say I’m a shepherd mix, but I think I’m a super-cool terrier mix (at least that’s what my humans guess, since I’m on the smaller side at just 20 pounds currently). Oh, and I might be blind, but that doesn’t slow me down when it comes to sniffing out all the fun things in life! Here’s the scoop: I love to explore, so a fenced yard is a must—safety first, right? I’m still working on the whole “going down steps” thing (I’ve totally mastered going up, though!). So, I’d really love a home without stairs if possible, just to keep things easy-peasy for me. I get along great with other dogs, but guess what? People are my absolute favorite! I’m a champion snuggler. I’d prefer a home with older kids because, well, I might accidentally bump into them with my limited vision. I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a little patience and proper introductions, I bet we could be good buddies! Oh, and I’m neutered, current on vaccines, and working on my potty training skills! My crate and playpen are like my little safe spaces, and I do really well in them. If you're looking for a lovable, brave little adventurer, I’m your guy! I’m fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $350. I’m waiting for the perfect family to find me. Could that be you? Questions? Email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application by clicking HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi there! I’m Goldo, and I’m probably the happiest boy you’ll ever meet! I’m all about sunshine, rainbows and wagging tails. I’m a 1.5 year-old, 45lb male Golden Retriever/Chow mix and I’m currently hanging out at my foster home in Battle Creek, Michigan, after being rescued just in the nick of time from an Alabama kill shelter. Then I got lucky again - my foster Mom is a trainer! So I come with a repertoire of obedience commands that I’ve mastered both indoors and outdoors, on and off leash. I'm not just a lovable companion—I'm a well-trained one too!
I just can’t stop smiling! I love following my foster around the shop and meeting all the other dogs. I get along with everyone and love making new friends. I’m really good at sitting and shaking paws, especially when there are treats involved—yum! I’m super gentle and curious about everything around me. And guess what? I’m really good with the little humans too! I’ve been hanging out with some toddlers (they’re 4, 5 and 8 years old), and we have a blast together. I’ve been learning to be calm in my kennel, and now I feel really comfortable in there. I’m also housebroken and haven’t had any crate accidents—aren’t you proud of me? Oh, and I squat to pee, so no worries about me hiking my leg indoors! I’m still working on getting stronger and putting on some weight, so I’d love a home with a fully FENCED-IN YARD where I can run, play and build up my muscles. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can spread my joy every single day. I’m fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $300. If you have questions about me, please email [email protected]. So, what do you say? Ready to bring me home and make me a part of your family? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi friends, I’m Charlie! I’m a 1-year-old Vizsla mix tripod, but honestly, I forget I’m missing a leg most of the time! I’m still figuring out big stairs, but I think I’m doing pretty great. My foster mom always tells me how beautiful my eyes are and how much love I have to give. I’m a gentle boy, and I get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Back at my Texas foster home, I even got along with cats!
I’m pretty laid-back—I love belly rubs, my toys and curling up for cuddles. My favorite spot is in bed with my foster parents or running around the yard with my foster siblings. Even though my life has been rough, I’m as sweet as can be, and ever since I was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas, I’ve felt so safe and loved. I’m fully house-trained, and after the first night, I didn’t even need a crate! I like to stay close to my people and rarely leave their sight. A fenced yard would be fun, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, I’ve got plenty of kisses and cuddles to give. Could you be my forever family? I promise to fill your heart with all the love you need! I’m fully-vetted, microchipped, my adoption fee is $300 and I’m waiting here in Adrian, MI, for the perfect family to find me. Could that be you? Questions? Email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi there, I’m Rowan! I’m a 4-year-old, 60-pound Lab mix and I’m on the lookout for my forever family! I was on the list at a southern kill shelter, but a kind rescuer saw my plight and saved me! Let me tell you a little about myself so you can see if we’re a good match.
I LOVE being with my people. Once I get to know you, I’ll be your loyal, cuddle buddy for life. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, we’ll be inseparable! I’m pretty quiet too—barking isn't really my thing, and I haven’t whined or cried since moving in with my foster family. Oh, and did I mention I give hugs? Yep, it’s one of my special talents! I get along with other dogs and play nicely with my foster brothers, but I have to admit, I’d be just fine soaking up all the attention myself as an only dog. I’m big on cuddles, and I really love my foster mom’s pets and scratches. Oh, and food—did I mention how much I love food? I’ll do just about anything for a treat! I’m mostly housebroken, but I still have a few accidents here and there. Don’t worry, though, I’m working on it! I know I’ll get it right soon, but I might need some extra help once I move to my new home. The shelter said I was crate-trained, but my foster family has seen no reason to crate me, I can be trusted. I also like riding in the car. I walk well on a leash, and while a fully fenced yard would be awesome, I’m okay without one as long as you keep me on a lead like my foster family does. I haven’t met cats or kids yet, but I’m a calm guy, so I think I’d do just fine with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a cuddly, loyal pup who will love you forever, I might just be your guy! I’m fully-vetted, microchipped, my adoption fee is $300 and I’m waiting here in Albion, MI, for the perfect family to find me. Could that be you? Questions? Email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Who says blind puppies can’t have a blast? Not me! Hi, I’m Nugget (or Chicken Nugget, as my friends like to call me), and I’m here to prove that life is fun, even if I can’t see! I was pulled from a scary Alabama shelter and now I’m living it up at my foster home in Battle Creek, Michigan, hoping to find my forever family.
I’m a 3-month-old Lab mix, around 25 lbs and growing fast. I’m already fully vetted and working hard on my potty and crate training—pretty impressive, right? I use pee pads when I need to, and I absolutely love playing outside with my doggie friends. I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a little guidance, I think I could get along with them just fine! I would probably do best with older kids, and the kitties might startle me. At first, I might seem a little shy, but once I warm up, you’ll see that I’m full of love and playfulness. Because I’m blind (we don’t know why), I can get startled easily, so I need a family that’s patient and understanding. Oh, and a fully FENCED-IN yard would be awesome for my adventures and to keep me safe! My adoption fee is $350 and if you have any questions about me, please email [email protected] If you think we’d be a perfect match, please fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi there! I’m Clover, a laid-back 5-year-old, 60lb yellow Lab mix, and I’m on the lookout for my forever family! I was rescued from a shelter in Alabama just in the nick of time and now live with my foster mom in Battle Creek, MI. Let me tell you a little about myself—I’m a low-key, low-maintenance kind of gal who loves the simple pleasures in life. My favorite things? Gentle head scratches, exploring the yard, and napping on big, soft pillows.
I’m fully housebroken and crate-trained, though I’ll be honest—I’m not a huge fan of going into my crate. But if you offer me a treat or guide me in, I’ll stubbornly make my way inside! I also love walks, but I get pretty excited and might pull on the leash a bit, so I could use some help learning to slow down. I get along great with other dogs and love running and playing with them. I’ve never met a cat, but I think I’d just leave them alone. I also do well with kids, and I’m a pretty chill passenger when it’s time for car rides. I really enjoy roaming around in a backyard, but don’t worry—I don’t need a fenced yard to be happy, a tie-out situation and some training would be good enough for me. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing friend who will fill your days with love and tail wags, I’m your girl! I am fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $300. If you have questions about me not covered in this bio, please email [email protected]. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out the adoption application HEREI can’t wait to meet you! Hi there! I’m Zoey, an 11-month-old Great Dane/Lab mix with a lot of love to give. I was rescued from a scary kill shelter in Alabama, but now I’m safe and sound, staying with a foster family in here in Quincy, MI, but I can’t wait to find my forever family.
I’m about 55 pounds of pure fun and sweetness! I love playing with dogs of all sizes, and I’m even cool with cats—as long as they’re dog-savvy. Running around and playing are some of my favorite things to do, so I’m hoping my new home has a fully FENCED-IN YARD where I can let loose and show off my zoomies. Being a puppy, I’m really into chewing, so I’ll need plenty of toys to keep me busy. I’d be so happy to have another dog buddy to play with too! Right now, I’m working on building my confidence with my foster mom, who is a trainer, and learning some cool things like basic obedience and a fun trick called “touch.” I’m a quick learner and super curious about everything around me. I might be a little shy when I first meet new people, but don’t worry—once I get to know you, I’ll be your best friend forever. I’m calm most of the time, but I do get bursts of energy where I just have to run around and have some fun. I’m fully-vetted, pretty good on a leash, housebroken and I’m crate-trained, too. I even enjoy car rides! And guess what? I love water—especially splashing around in my turtle pool. If you think we’d be a good match, let’s meet! My adoption fee is $350, and I promise I’m worth every penny. Questions about me? Please email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hey there, I'm Skymir, your lively 1.5 year-old male black lab mix, weighing in at a solid 50 pounds. My tail never stops wagging, and my heart is as big as they come. I found myself alone in a southern shelter when I was just a puppy. I was so scared, but thankfully a kind rescuer scooped in to save me. Now I’m here in Michigan (being fostered near Coldwater) looking for my forever family!
I live for those moments of butt wiggles and playful romps with my foster siblings. Chewing on a good, hard bone? It's my idea of heaven. My playful spirit shines through in everything I do, from chasing squirrels to snuggling up after a long day. I'm a quick learner, especially when treats are involved! Training sessions are my jam, and I'm always eager to please. Sometimes I get a bit too excited and might jump up, but with a little patience and guidance, I'll get the hang of it. At first, I might be a bit reserved, but give me some time, and I'll warm up to you in no time. Crisp mornings call for cuddles in my cozy crate, while sunny afternoons are perfect for basking in the warmth of the sun. I would thrive in a home with a FENCED-IN YARD where I can run and explore to my heart's content. Whether I'm playing with another dog or keeping an active family on their toes, I'm happiest when I have company. I’m fully-vetted, housebroken, crate-trained and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, please email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? CLICK HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi there! My name is Faye, and I’m a female 3-year-old black Lab/German Shepherd mix with a lot of love to give. I weigh about 60lbs and have a shiny black coat that I love showing off. I’ve got a half flip (one ear up, one down), which everyone says makes me look extra cute! Before I was rescued, I found myself in dire straits - as a black dog in a southern shelter, my odds weren’t very good. I’m currently living with a wonderful foster family in Byron Center, MI, but what I really want is a forever home where I can share all my love and happiness.
I absolutely love people and get along great with dogs of all sizes. Playing outside is one of my favorite things to do, especially when I get to catch frisbees or patrol the yard for squirrels. I have a special stuffed toy, my “baby,” that I carry around gently—I never tear it apart because it’s my favorite. I’m very in tune with my person and love going on adventures. I’m gentle when taking treats and I’m quiet inside the house. I’ve learned some basic commands and am always eager to make my person happy. I walk on a leash, but sometimes I get excited and might lunge if I see another dog or a squirrel, so I need a fully FENCED-IN YARD to keep me safe. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, fully-vetted and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. If you have questions about me, please email [email protected]. Think we’re a perfect match? Please fill out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi! I’m King, the 5 month-old pup, 37lb male German Shepard/Hound mix and I might be missing a leg, but I don’t let that slow me down! I was saved from the euthanasia list just in the nick of time! I’ve adjusted amazingly to life with three legs - you should see me play! At first, I can be a little shy, but once I warm up, I’m all in! I’m being fostered in Albion, Michigan.
I really, really love other dogs—I can’t help but pester them until they play with me! Cats, on the other hand, are still a bit of a mystery. I’ve learned to be respectful towards them, even if they don’t always want to be my friends. I have one blue eye, and I use it to give you a look that says, "Hey, can I have a treat?" or "Why won’t the cats play with me?" I absolutely adore kids! I’m working hard on my potty-training, and I’m getting better every day. I try so hard to be a good boy, and I know I’ll make a loyal partner for someone special. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and playful companion, I’m your guy! I’m fully-vetted, microchipped and ready to join your family for an adoption fee of $350. Questions about me? Please email [email protected]. Ready to make it official? Full out the adoption application HERE. I can’t wait to meet you! Hi, I'm Valentine! I'm a 3-year-old female German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix (DNA results are in my photos), weighing 52 pounds, currently being fostered in Adrian, MI. I spent a month in a high-kill shelter, terrified and alone, but now I'm ready to find my forever home with a family who will love me for the kind soul that I am.
It's suspected that I'm a distemper survivor, which gives me a special quirk—some involuntary muscle movements that make it look like I'm always grooving to my favorite tune. This doesn’t negatively affect me in any way - it just makes me even more unique and cute! I have a laid-back personality with bursts of fun and silliness, and I adore being cuddled and having a dog friend to play with. I adjusted my energy to match the other dogs and cats in my foster home. I haven’t had any exposure, and I think I’d do best with older children, sometimes I get so excited to greet people that I might jump up and give a kiss! I ride well in the car, do fine on a leash, and am very food motivated, so I'd likely excel in training. A fully FENCED-IN YARD would be ideal for me to run and play. I'm full of love and shower everyone I meet—humans, dogs, and cats—with kisses. I have great manners and am completely housebroken. Occasionally, I might pick up something I shouldn’t or do a little counter surfing, but I'm quickly redirected with kind words. I'm not crate-trained, but have never needed one, being trustworthy both at night and when alone at home. I'm fully-vetted and ready to come home with you for an adoption fee of $300. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, please send an email to [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? CLICK HERE to apply to adopt me. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new adventures together! Hi kind humans! My name is Samira, and I'm a 45-pound, almost 8-month-old female German Shepherd mix searching for my forever home. Even though my life started a bit rough, I enjoy every moment of it! A traumatic experience left me with one eye and a charming underbite, but nothing slows me down. I'm being fostered in Wixom, Michigan.
I have a heart of gold and absolutely love cuddles and belly rubs. I'm great with people, love other dogs, and enjoy going on adventures. I’m super active and would be happiest in a home with a fully FENCED-IN YARD to run and play in. Mountain bike rides are a blast, and my long legs and lean frame make me perfect for it! At home, I love hikes and roughhousing with my foster family's puppy. Even though I’m full of energy, I’m calm indoors and love to nap nearby once the fun is over. I’m well-behaved for a young pup—friendly with my puppy buddy and respectful of the senior dog in the house. I haven’t met kids yet, but my foster family thinks I’d be great with them. I’m curious about cats and would probably want to play. I’m housebroken, crate-trained (though I do get anxious when left alone unless I have a dog buddy), and I love car rides. I’ve already mastered sit, lie down and come when called. I’d love to have another playful dog in my future home, but it’s not a must—just a nice-to-have! What I do need is space to burn off my energy. I'm fully vetted and ready to join your family for an adoption fee of $350. If you have any questions, feel free to email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application HERE. I can't wait to meet you and start our adventures together! Hey there, I'm Aubrey, the stunning 30-pound, 1-year-old female Plott Hound mix with a heart as beautiful as I am! I had a tough beginning, I was surrendered to an overcrowded kill shelter in Texas when I was just 4 months old because my owner had too many dogs. I was very, very scared, but thankfully Project Hope saw the pleading in my eyes and they saved me! I’m going to be honest with you here - I am a total sweetheart once I warm up to you, but I am just terrible at meet and greets! I don’t know what happens, I just get so nervous that I start acting all shy, and a lot of my amazing personality just flies right out the window. I really need an understanding family that knows it might take a few days for the true me to shine through. Then I’ll be on you like white on rice, I want nothing more than to be with my person. I love other doggos, but I haven’t had the pleasure of making any feline friends yet. I would probably do best in an adults-only household. I'm a spunky girl who loves nothing more than running and playing, so I'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs. But hey, even if you don't have a yard, as long as we can go for walks and play together, I'll be one happy pup! After all that fun, I'm all about snuggling up with my favorite person for a nap. I'm potty and crate-trained, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines, so I'm ready to bring love and laughter to my forever home. My adoption fee is $300. If you have any questions not answered in this bio, please email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? CLICK HERE. Let's start our adventures together! Oh la la! I was rescued from a culvert in Alabama with my siblings and being able to live in a home with a family is fantastic! I sleep all night in my crate, tell my family when I need to go outside, and I'm an excellent traveler in the car. I’m being fostered in Battle Creek, Michigan.
I am an incredibly curious girl, have a lot of energy and I’m very eager to please you. I love the dog park and I have made so many friends there! I’m learning my commands and so far, I know sit, lay down, shake and wait. Plus, my leash skills are getting better every day! I'm still a little food insecure, so be careful of leaving food on the counter, but that also means I'm extremely food motivated - I'll do just about anything for a treat! I do have some anxiety around bath time, so my future family will need to work with me on that. I LOVE kids and I’m not very interested in cats. I’m fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $350. I’m looking for my forever family to start making good memories with. I love to play and I would love another canine sibling to romp around with in a FENCED-IN YARD because I have a lot of energy! I'm great with older kids, but sometimes I get so excited that I jump up, which might be a bit much for the little ones. I can get along with cats too, with a slow introduction. I was a favorite amongst the shelter staff and my foster Mom says I'm one of the sweetest dogs she’s ever met. I've been learning my basic commands and how to be a good house pup. I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever been in a home, but I haven’t had a single accident, so I think it’s safe to say that I’m housebroken. I don't have any aggressive or destructive behavior and can even be trusted to be left out of my crate. I just want to be close to you, giving you hugs and kisses all the time. I'm fully-vetted and ready to find my forever home, with an adoption fee of $300. . If you have any questions not answered in this bio, please email [email protected]. Ready to bring me home? I'm super friendly and submissive to other dog pals, and I dream of finding a forever home with a furry companion to share my adventures with. I love giving my canine friends kisses and doing laps together around the yard. My forever home will definitely need a fully FENCED-IN yard and a doggie best friend for me.
I’m being fostered near Coldwater, Michigan. Life has been a whirlwind of new experiences since I arrived here, and I'm still getting used to being inside a home. But hey, I've already nailed crate and house training, so I'm a quick learner! While I'm still figuring out this whole leash thing, I'm making progress one paw at a time. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, I know I'll get there. I haven’t had any exposure to cats yet, and I think I’d do well with children over 6 years old. interested in adopting? The first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. In order to meet and greet available dogs, we must receive a completed application. Approval for adoption requires a successful home visit and veterinary reference. Applying to adopt and meeting a potential dog does not obligate you to adopt the dog you meet and greet. If it is not a match for you or them, adoption will not take place. CategoriesArchives |
